GP Advisory Group
The GP Advisory Group (GPAG) was established to provide advice and support to Gidget Foundation Australia to build and maintain effective relationships with GPs, and GP stakeholder groups.
The Advisory Group provides input from General Practitioners with specific interest or training in perinatal and infant mental health, with a focus on facilitating effective shared care. It also provides guidance on the establishment of effective communication pathways to support referral processes across GFA’s stepped care services, strengthening support for new and expectant parents presenting with, or at risk of developing perinatal depression or anxiety.
Additionally, the GPAG offers guidance to inform ongoing training and educational development within the Gidget Training Institute to ensure this meets the robust standards required for GP training.
