They also provide online mental health resources for LGBTQ+ parents as well as guides and information for navigating the many challenges that can arise for them, their teens and their children.

Raising Children Network provides ad-free parenting videos, articles and apps backed by Australian experts. Funded by the Australian Government, their articles, videos and interactive resources are tailored to different ages and stages, taking you from nurturing a newborn to raising a confident, resilient teen – and helping you to look after yourself as a parent too.

SMS4dads is a free, nationwide program designed to support new and expectant fathers in Australia by sending them regular text messages with practical tips, information, and links tailored to their baby’s developmental stage. Developed by health professionals and researchers, the service aims to help dads better understand and connect with their baby and partner, while also checking in on their wellbeing through interactive mood trackers. If a dad indicates he’s struggling, a trained counsellor will reach out to offer additional support.

The messages are friendly, real, and often written in the “voice” of the baby, making the advice feel personal and timely. SMS4dads addresses the gap in parenting support for fathers, helping them feel included and empowered in their parenting journey, and connecting them with relevant services if needed. Special message streams are also available for dads facing extra challenges, such as those in rural or remote areas, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander fathers, or dads experiencing loss or mental health difficulties.

SMS4DeadlyDads is a free, culturally tailored text messaging service designed specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander fathers. Once signed up, dads receive three short text messages each week from 12 weeks into the pregnancy throughout their baby’s first year. These messages offer practical tips, information, and links to support dads in connecting with their baby, supporting their partner, and looking after their own wellbeing. The content is designed to be timely and relevant, arriving just when dads and their babies need it most, and includes check-ins on emotional health with pathways to further support if needed.

Co-designed by a team of First Nations men, health professionals, and community advisors, SMS4DeadlyDads provides support that is culturally appropriate and meaningful. The service also connects dads to community and support networks, helping them feel included and empowered in their parenting journey. By providing accessible, dad-focused information and support, SMS4DeadlyDads aims to strengthen families and improve outcomes for both fathers and their children.

Triple P provides a suite of interventions to parents of children from birth to 16 years. Interventions are of increasing intensity and tailored to target particular demographics or parenting groups, including parents of children with a disability, parents going through separation or divorce, parents of children who are overweight, and First Nations parents. It aims to equip parents with the skills and confidence they need to be self-sufficient and manage family issues without ongoing support.
