Vanesha is a passionate, empathetic, and committed accredited Mental Health Social Worker whose career in social work spans over 23 years in the UK and Australia. Her career encompasses direct work with individuals, families, and children across the lifespan in a range of community-based services, and more recently, within private practice.
Vanesha provides focused psychological strategies using person-centered, strength-based, and collaborative approaches. She specialises in assisting individuals and their families from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds and CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) groups who may be living with physical, intellectual, and mental healthcare needs. Vanesha offers counseling for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and complex mental health conditions. Her practice is based on eclectic evidence-based practices tailored to meet the needs of each individual. This includes Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic approaches, Trauma-Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness, and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) also known as 'Tapping'.
