Rachel Verin

Clinical Psychologist

Rachel is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked with clients throughout the lifespan and who present with a vast array of challenges. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, body and eating concerns, workplace stressors, parenting, relationship struggles and more. Through her clinical work she developed a keen interest in - and passion for - perinatal mental health. She has also lived and worked overseas, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Having such varied life experiences herself has helped her to appreciate the uniqueness of each individual client, their histories, beliefs and goals. Rachel places immense value on creating a safe and comfortable space for you to share your fears, desires, and everything in between.

While predominantly trained in the Cognitive-Behavioural approach, she has been powerfully influenced by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and seeing the benefits it can have for clients. In addition to ACT, she also often brings in elements of other Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBIs), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as attachment-oriented approaches. All of her work is client-centred and strengths-based, understanding that the client is the expert in their own life, and that therapy is the vehicle through which you may learn skills that help drive positive change.
