Maggie is a registered Clinical Psychologist with experience supporting clients across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including community mental health, inpatient and outpatient hospital, and private practice.
Maggie has a particular interest in supporting women, parents, and families throughout the perinatal period. She understands that every person's journey into parenthood is shaped by their unique life experiences, relationships, and attachment history. Maggie enjoys working collaboratively with clients to explore and better understand their emotional experiences, patterns, and strengths, creating opportunities for meaningful and lasting change. She provides a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where clients feel safe to make sense of identity changes, self-criticism, feelings of guilt or ambivalence, relationship changes, and the emotional impact of pregnancy, birth, and caring for a new baby.
Maggie feels privileged to be part of her clients' journeys and values the opportunity to walk alongside them as they navigate the adjustment to parenthood. She prioritises building a strong therapeutic relationship and adopts an attachment-focused, trauma-informed approach to therapy. Maggie tailors therapy to each person's individual needs using evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and mindfulness-based interventions.
