Lonneke is a registered psychologist and has worked with adolescents and adults in private practice and within a hospital setting.
She is empathetic, compassionate, and open minded and she provides a safe, reflective, and collaborative therapy space free from judgement. Her therapeutic approach is informed by attachment theory, and she integrates acceptance and commitment therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness.
Lonneke is passionate about providing support during the perinatal period. She has a particular interest in helping people who are experiencing challenges with perinatal depression and anxiety, grief and loss, infant attachment, trauma, and adjusting to parenthood.
Her dedication to provide support during the perinatal period developed from her work with prospective and new parents and through her own journey into motherhood. To further enhance her skills and experience in this area. Lonneke is currently undertaking a post graduate diploma in Perinatal Mental Health through Federation University.
