Liz Irving is a Registered Psychologist who brings warmth, experience, and a strong ethical foundation to her work with individuals and families. With over 30 years’ experience in Australia and internationally, Liz is passionate about providing a safe, neuro-affirming, and client-centred space where people feel genuinely heard, respected, and empowered. She has a particular interest in the perinatal period, supporting parents and families as they navigate the unique challenges of pregnancy, early parenthood, and family transitions. Liz is also deeply committed to inclusive, affirming care for neurodivergent clients, and values working collaboratively to celebrate each person’s individuality and strengths.

Liz’s therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practice and shaped by her commitment to reflective learning and ethical care. She draws on a range of therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), play therapy, schema therapy, and mindfulness, adapting her interventions to suit each client’s unique needs and goals. Liz is known for her collaborative style, her ability to build trusting relationships, and her dedication to supporting clients through all stages of life. She values working as part of a team, whether with families, other health professionals, or within the community, to ensure holistic support for those in her care.

Liz holds a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology from Monash University and is an Educational & Developmental Psychology Registrar. Outside of work, she enjoys beach walks, time in nature, and connecting with her local community.
