Jainarri Lake is a proud Gomeroi, Wiradjuri and Wailwan woman with strong family connections spanning from Moree to Warren in NSW. Raised between Gomeroi and Darkinjung Country, she is passionate about improving outcomes for Aboriginal people through culturally safe and responsive services. Jainarri lives on Darkinjung Country, where she has raised her two sons.

She is currently the Operations Manager of the Aboriginal Health Unit within Central Coast Local Health District and has extensive experience working across Aboriginal health in both hospital and community settings, with a passion for positive health outcomes for her local community and Aboriginal people nationally.

She also serves as Deputy Chairperson of the Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council, continuing her family’s legacy of advocacy and commitment to Aboriginal self-determination.

Guided by her Elders, family and community, Jainarri brings a strong understanding of cultural protocols, Aboriginal ways of knowing, being and belonging, and a commitment to ensuring Aboriginal voices are heard in decision-making.
