Emma Maple-Brown is a corporate lawyer with over 20 years’ experience advising not-for-profits, charities, social enterprises, and people experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage. She has held senior leadership roles at Justice Connect, UNSW, and Herbert Smith Freehills, where she led the firm’s national pro bono practice. Emma brings expertise in corporate governance, access to justice, philanthropy, and working with First Nations communities. In addition to being a Director of the Gidget Foundation Australia, she also serves on the boards of Redfern Legal Centre, Red Room Poetry, and The King’s School, and is Company Secretary of The Centre for Public Integrity. She holds a BA (Hons)/LLB (Hons) from the University of Sydney, is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and is a mother of four.
