Emma Maple-Brown is a corporate lawyer with over 21 years of experience advising a wide range of pro bono clients, including not-for-profits, charities, social enterprises, and individuals experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage.

Emma has held senior leadership roles in the legal, academic and not for profit sectors. She has worked for Justice Connect, was Director of the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous at UNSW and led the Australian Pro Bono Practice at Herbert Smith Freehills where she acted for a wide range of clients and oversaw national access to justice initiatives.

Emma has deep expertise in corporate governance, access tojustice, philanthropy, and working in partnership with First Nations communities. She holds a BA (Hons)/LLB (Hons) from the University of Sydney and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

She currently sits on the boards of Redfern Legal Centre, Red Room Poetry, and The King’s School, and serves as Company Secretary for The Centre for Public Integrity.

Emma is also a mother of four and is committed to building amore just and inclusive society.
