Nivek is a Clinical Psychologist with specialist training and experience in perinatal mental health. She has worked across Australia and the United Kingdom in adult mental health services, as well as in specialist perinatal, maternity and neonatal settings, supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. Nivek offers a warm and compassionate space to explore life's challenges, taking the time to understand each person's unique experiences within the broader context of their relationships, family, and life circumstances.
Nivek has a particular interest in women's mental health, including the psychological impact of reproductive and perinatal experiences. Alongside her clinical work, she has undertaken research exploring the relationship between hyperemesis gravidarum and maternal mental health.
Nivek takes an integrative, evidence-based approach to therapy, drawing on Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema-informed CBT and systemic approaches. She works collaboratively with each person to tailor therapy to their individual needs, helping them develop practical skills, deepen self-understanding and move towards a life that feels more meaningful and connected.
