Janice holds a Master of Psychology (Clinical) and a PhD from UNSW. She is passionate about early intervention and supporting parents and infants. She has practiced across a range of settings, including hospitals, community mental health, and research clinics. In addition to her work with Gidget House, Janice works as a Lecturer in postgraduate psychology at the University of Tasmania.
Janice takes a person-centred approach to therapy and utilises a range of evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy. Janice also uses attachment theory and frameworks to guide her work and is a trained Circle of Security Parenting facilitator.
