is a non-First Nations clinician and committed Ally, currently working with Cunnamulla Aboriginal Corporation for Health (AMS) in South-West Queensland. In this role, she supports quality across a range of clinical and non-clinical primary health programs, while also managing the Far West Indigenous Family Violence Service. Her work is grounded in walking alongside communities, with a strong focus on culturally informed, locally led care in rural and remote settings.

With a background spanning Aboriginal Medical Services, including Gidgee Healing in North-West Queensland, as well as working on the HREOC Palm Island Wages Case with FAIRA in Brisbane earlier in her career, Deb brings a depth of experience across community, clinical, and leadership contexts. She has also previously worked with Gidget Foundation Australia as both a clinician and an ally, and is a Mental Health Social Worker with a passion for supporting individuals, families and communities in ways that are respectful, practical, and connected to place.

Deb is currently finalising a PhD with Charles Sturt University, guided by Professor Susan Green (Wiradjuri) and Dr Wendy Bowles, exploring decolonising research approaches in partnership with First Nations communities. As an ally, she is deeply committed to supporting work and research that honours Right Ways,  and genuine relational engagement, planning and action with rural and very remote communities.  Her framework for practice is guided and supported by local cultural governance protocols, knowledge, and community-led priorities, to achieve health equity.
