Dr. Cammi Murrup-Stewart is an Aboriginal woman and the daughter of a Stolen Generations mother, born and raised on Wurundjeri Country. Cammi is a passionate advocate, researcher, and senior lecturer at Monash University's Gukwonderuk - Indigenous Health Workforces Centre. Drawing from her personal journey as a parent living with multiple disabilities and chronic illness, she is dedicated to raising awareness and improving the lives of individuals living with intersectional identities.
With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by parents with disabilities, Dr. Murrup-Stewart educates, researches, and advocates for inclusive and holistic healthcare practices, First Nations well-being, and empowering marginalized voices. Her research focuses on the social and emotional well-being of Aboriginal youth, centering their experiences and identities to create a more inclusive and supportive society. Through her work, she seeks to foster resilience, challenge societal biases, prioritise intersectional well-being approaches, and advocate for equitable opportunities for all.
