Acknowledgement of Country

Gidget Foundation Australia acknowledges the continuing connection to culture, lands, waterways, and communities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, and we pay our respects to past and present Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia.

We pay our respects to the ancestors, elders and storytellers who have maintained spiritual customs of Women’s Business and Men’s Business passing ancestral knowledge through generations of kin. From kinship care, from aunty to mother, to daughter, to sister. From uncle to father, to son, to brother. Connecting Mother Earth and Father Sky for all generations and community to thrive.

Acknowledgement of our LGBTQIA+ Community

Gidget Foundation Australia recognises the critical importance of diversity and inclusion. We understand that our community is rich and diverse, encompassing individuals from all walks of life, backgrounds, and identities.

We affirm our commitment to creating spaces and services that are welcoming to all members of our LGBTQIA+ community. By embracing inclusivity, we honour the full spectrum of human experience as we work together to dismantle barriers to equality and amplify marginalised voices. Together, we will continue to strive for a community where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued for who they are.

Gidget Foundation Australia recognises all those with lived experience of perinatal mental ill-health and their loved ones.
Lived experience is at the heart of everything we do, and we carry these experiences gently with compassion and respect.
We are truly grateful for all those who choose to share their stories and we acknowledge those who carry these stories quietly.
