With over 18 years of clinical experience and 6 years teaching mental health to Defence Force and university nursing students, Susannah is a seasoned Mental Health Registered Nurse dedicated to compassionate, holistic care. Her career spans acute and community mental health settings, with a strong focus on early intervention in perinatal, child, and adolescent mental health. She also has extensive experience in delivering Mental Health Care Plans.
Driven by a deep passion for supporting parents, Susannah helps individuals navigate the challenges of parenting and relationships with empathy and insight. She brings a nuanced understanding of attachment theory, recognizing how our early relational experiences shape how we partner and parent. Her approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to helping others explore the "why" behind emotions and behaviors, creating opportunities for personal growth and healing.
Susannah’s therapeutic style is eclectic and trauma-informed, integrating elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, psychoeducation, and somatic awareness. She has a particular interest in the connection between body and mind, drawing from yoga and breathwork to support clients in developing self-awareness and emotional clarity.
She believes that true healing happens in moments of emotional insight—those powerful “aha” moments when clients begin to understand themselves with compassion. These insights, she believes, are the key to navigating life’s challenges with resilience, authenticity, and integration.
