Libby is a Clinical Psychologist with a passion for working with mothers during the earliest years of transition to motherhood - the perinatal phase.
She has a person-centred, non-judgmental, compassionate, holistic and trauma aware therapeutic approach based on a theoretical framework of attachment and polyvagal theories.
Libby has specific perinatal mental health training, including bereavement care after pregnancy or infant loss, compassion-focused approach to birth trauma and perinatal non-directive counselling. Her holistic approach draws on these trainings, along with training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy, Somatic Attachment Focused Expressive Therapies® (SAFE-T®), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT / Tapping) and Clinical Applications of Polyvagal Theory to complement her clinical training.
