Elly Taylor is an internationally recognised perinatal relationship specialist, award winning author and founder of Becoming Us. Elly began studying the transition into parenthood from a relationship perspective when she noticed both the intricacies of the couple relationship and the similarities in client’s stories during this time. Based on this intimate knowledge and emerging research, Elly created Becoming Us, a relationship-developmental framework for pregnancy and early parenthood which supports the mental, emotional and relationship wellbeing of the whole family.

Elly’s passion is educating perinatal professionals about the power and potential of using a “whole family approach”. She has presented Becoming Us at national and international conferences, been a research project advisor for Monash University, The Australian Catholic University, Newcastle University and Columbia University in New York. Elly has recently conducted training for NHS in the UK and Mayo Clinic in the USA.  She is also  is currently working with NSW Health SESLHD Interagency to pilot a new Becoming Us “Nest Building” program for expecting and new parents in her local community. She lives in Sydney with her firefighter husband, their three kids and way too many pets.
