Dr Rebecca Sneddon

Registered Psychologist

Rebecca Sneddon is a psychologist with over 15 years experience working with children, adolescents, and families across private practice, school, and community settings. She has a special interest in the perinatal period, shaped by both her professional work and her own lived experience of the emotional complexities and transitions of early motherhood.

Rebecca provides compassionate, evidence-based support for individuals navigating pregnancy, early parenthood, birth trauma, grief and loss, and perinatal anxiety or mood changes. She works respectfully with parents to strengthen relationships, build confidence, and support overall family wellbeing. She has experience in emotion-focussed parenting approaches and is passionate about helping caregivers respond to children’s emotional needs with greater connection and confidence.

Her therapeutic style is warm, grounded, and person-centred, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, trauma-informed care, Schema Therapy, and Solution-Focussed Therapy. Rebecca’s approach is neuro-affirming, and she has a strong interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals. She tailors her work to honour each family’s unique strengths, needs, and ways of experiencing the world.

Rebecca holds a Doctorate in Educational Psychology and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Melbourne. She is dedicated to providing thoughtful, individualised care that empowers parents and supports healthy family foundations.
