Professor Dharmintra Pasupathy

Dharmintra Pasupathy is Professor of Maternal & Fetal Medicine at Westmead Clinical School, University of Sydney and the Inaugural Director of the Reproduction and Perinatal Centre (RPC), a research impact centre of the Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney. The RPC which is focused on a life course approach to maternal and newborn health in its’ research strategy and development. Professor Pasupathy has a keen interest in Perinatal Mental Health specifically the impact of clinical provision of care to women and families with mental health related condition, with the focus of improving pregnancy and perinatal outcomes. 

Professor Pasupathy completed his undergraduate and post graduate academic and clinical training in the UK. He is a perinatal epidemiologist having completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge and post graduate training at King's College London. He was a Reader and Consultant at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and King's College London. He was also the first Obstetric Lead of the National Maternity and Perinatal Audit in the UK, one of the largest quality improvement programs in maternity care prior to his appointment here at Westmead in 2020.
