Nicki supports the development of the parent-infant relationship, which may be affected by past trauma, illness, or issues related to attachment and bonding.
Experience
Nicki has 15 years of experience as a psychologist, having worked in both private practice and the public sector. Her background includes roles in child and youth mental health services, as well as perinatal and infant mental health services. Notably, she has worked in a mother-baby inpatient psychiatric unit and served as a senior clinical psychologist at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne.
Professional Interests
Nicki employs various therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, mentalisation-based therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and parent-infant psychotherapy. She has completed specialized training in infant mental health at The Anna Freud Centre in London and Warwick University.
