Namita is a registered pharmacist graduating from the University of Sydney in 2006. She has worked within the community sector right across Australia from Sydney, Gold Coast, Cairns and Perth. She is now working as a consultant pharmacist within a corporate setting.
She has two beautiful boys and experienced postnatal depression twice, despite her best efforts to prevent its occurrence the second time. She has since gone on to further her studies, in the hope to support all women who are suffering from perinatal mental health conditions. She is a PMC (paediatric massage consultant), CIMI (certified infant massage instructor) and currently studying to become an Ayurvedic Yoga teacher and Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant, so that she can dedicate her life to helping other families.
Her hope is to encourage speaking up, smashing through the stigma surrounding mental health conditions, as well as create practical resources and support tools such as her books, for women and their families to utilise, whilst navigating through their journey.
She hopes to inspire women into taking steps into their recovery, as well as create transparency. Namita also wants to break through the misconceptions surrounding the condition, treatments and medication, to help all women in future generations.
