Jill is a Clinical Psychologist, with more than twenty years of experience working with adults and families in private practice, corporate, university and not for profit sectors.
Jill has a special interest in perinatal mental health, with many years of experience supporting women and their families with perinatal anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, birth trauma, infertility and IVF issues and grief and loss. She also has a passion for helping families to prepare for parenthood and she has facilitated psycho-education groups to new mothers at Early Childhood Centres and local meetings of the Australian Breastfeeding Association on how to manage the transition to motherhood and understand the signs of postnatal depression.
Jill is a compassionate and caring practitioner, who creates a safe and nurturing space for her clients to explore challenges and grow. She draws on a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapies and trauma-based approaches such as EMDR.
Jill also has an attachment focus and has trained as a Circle of Security parent educator. On a personal level Jill is a mother and is passionate about the healing power of creativity and art.
