Nicole is a Registered Psychologist who enjoys working with individuals, couples and family units to compassionately help them understand and work through difficulties in their world. She has professional interests in perinatal mental health, depression, anxiety, grief and couples work and she has completed perinatal specific training from the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE).
Nicole uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches with a strengths-based focus to work collaboratively with clients towards realistic and empowering goals whilst scaffolding them to improve their overall well-being. Her approach is client-centred and utilises therapeutic principles and frameworks primarily from ACT, CBT and Gottman Therapy. Her therapeutic style is friendly, relaxed and empathic. She brings dedication and genuineness into each session and often likes to use analogies, diagrams and practical easy-to-understand tools to complement therapeutic approaches.
