Katrina is an accredited mental health Social Worker with over 15 years experience. Katrina has worked in NSW Health and has recently moved into private practice. Katrina worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where she developed a passion for supporting parents during the perinatal period. She has experience working with perinatal depression and anxiety, birth trauma, perinatal loss and adjustment to parenting.
Katrina is certified to facilitate the Circle of Security program, and the attachment philosophies embedded in the program filter into her professional and personal life.
Katrina is compassionate and understanding and provides clients with a safe space to explore their thoughts and emotions free of judgement.
Katrina works from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy framework, incorporating CBT, mindfulness, and strengths theory. Katrina is also trained in EMDR and has an interest in trauma processing.
