Jessica is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, psychotherapist, and certified Mama Rising Coach who is deeply passionate about supporting women through the profound transformation of matrescence – the emotional, psychological, and physical shift into motherhood. As a clinician at the Gidget Foundation, she provides a nurturing, non-judgmental space for mothers navigating the challenges of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.
With over a decade of experience in trauma-informed care, Jessica specialises in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches to support women in healing from birth trauma, perinatal depression and anxiety, and the identity shifts that come with motherhood. She is passionate about helping mothers understand their emotions, regulate their nervous system, and reconnect with themselves in a way that fosters self-compassion and emotional resilience.
Jessica believes that motherhood is not just about caring for a baby – it’s about honouring and supporting the mother, too. She understands the immense pressure women face and is committed to helping them let go of unrealistic expectations and embrace a version of motherhood that aligns with their values.
