Annaleise is a clinical psychologist with several years of experience working in perinatal mental health, supporting families during pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. She predominantly works from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach and is passionate about supporting the whole family, incorporating systems and attachment-based approaches such as Circle of Security (COS).
Annaleise’s clinical expertise is complemented by almost a decade of research experience, initially focusing on Personality Disorders before discovering her passion for developmental psychology. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Wollongong’s Wollongong Infant Learning Lab (WILL) at Early Start. Her research thesis, ‘The Birth of Us,’ aims to improve our understanding of Australian attitudes towards childbirth and the impact of the birth experience on the transition to parenthood.
