Amy Fitzell is a registered Mental Health Occupational Therapist, who has worked for over a decade with families, children and parents, supporting them to improve their wellbeing and quality of life. With a background in the social sciences, Amy’s clinical OT work has involved working with clients experiencing a broad range of physical, developmental and mental health conditions. Her approach to therapy is warm, holistic, strengths-based, and non-judgemental.
Through her own experiences of journeying into motherhood, Amy developed a strong interest in working with perinatal women, parents, infants and families, to support their mental health and wellbeing during the transitions and challenges of this unique time. Amy weaves together a range of therapeutic modalities including ACT, CBT, CFT, emotional regulation and mindfulness. Her aim in the therapeutic relationship is to create a collaborative and safe holding space, where people can explore their challenges and connect with their inner wisdom.
